There is no question, bands are in nowadays and the scene is getting more exciting especially for OPM acts.The band is composed of five young, goodlooking and talented college students Kean Cipriano 18, Aaron Paul Ricafrente 19, Tatsi Jamnaque 18, Alden Acosta  17 and Lemuel Belaro 19. As fresh as the exact meaning of their name, Callalily was actually derived not from a flower but from a bread that lead singer Kean liked when the band was just starting. Even before the album was released, the band has already created a steady following and has generated a lot of buzz with their gigs and when they front-acted during the shows of 6cyclemind.

Their first single “Stars” is fast-gaining heavy airplay on top radio stations and its music video can now be seen on favorite music channels. “Stars” was a successful single, peaking at number 1 on MYX, it was also nominated as Favorite Song at the MYX Music Awards 2007. Their 2nd single “Take My Hand” peaked only at number 3 on MYX but their 3rd single “Magbalik” scored them another number  1. As of April 22, “Magbalik” spent 7 consecutive weeks at number 1, being the successor of “Stars”, which spent 3 consecutive weeks at number 1. The music video of the song, “Pasan” premiered at MYX, last June 01, 2007 Friday and quickly debuted in the MYX Daily Top 10 last June 4, 2007 at number 9. It recently made a 7 non-consecutive day streak at number 1 and also the l number 1 song “Pasan” on the MYX Hit Chart for 6 non-consecutive weeks.

Callalily Lead Vocalist Kean Cipriano has a duet collaboration with Paraluman vocalist Madeline Ramboyong with their hit single “Tabi“, from the Paraluman’s debut album “In Lab!” launched in 2008.

History

The band’s name were actually taken not on a variety of neither a flowering plant nor a local television show, but from a brand name of a bread on which the group’s favorite snack. They also appeared as a front act on some of their brother band’s (6cyclemind) music video such as “Sandalan” and “Prinsesa“.  It was then Kean who decided the “Callalily” to make their band’s name, and with accordance to the group they chose it because the name just like the bread was fresh-tasting and “maka-masa” in nature. Callalistas, the band’s major fan name, also tagged them as “AKLAT” on which acronyms from the first letters of the Band Names – Aaron, Kean, Lemuel, Alden and Tatsi.
