Mellow Carousel

If you open the door, you can see all the floor
And you’ll see that you can do so much more
If you ask for a light, say goodbye to the night
Then we can go ride my famous

Mellow Carousel

There’s a mop on the top if you’re looking for pop
But you can do so much more than that
Seeing more than it seems. Do you know what I mean?
Singing lines from Michael Jackson’s

Pour some water on the horse
Give them shoes. Give them oars.
Come and ride the carousel
Bring some notes to sell

Tell me where you will go. Will you go with the flow
And in turn get lots and lots of dough?
Look inside who you are. Do you wanna get far?
From that overcrowded ride called

Mellow Carousel

Pedicab

PEDICAB is composed of Mike Dizon, Raimund Marasigan, Jason Caballa, Diego Mapa , and RA Rivera. The band was created out of each band member’s longing to play attractive danceable punk rock, humorously referred by the band as dunk music, dance-punk.

Their use of classic analog synthesizers instead of the conventional bass guitar, as well as Diego’s quirky vocal style and diverse lyrics, has given Pedicab a distinctive sound, scented of 80s synch-pop with garage rock zest. While the band’s seasoned lineup may be reason enough to create a center of attention to curious listeners, Pedicab has managed to build a faithful following with their catching original tunes and energetic live performances. RA’s visuals give Pedicab’s live shows a typical performance-art edge.

Pedicab’s first album, dubbed “Tugish Takish” boasts of impressively slick production, as evidenced by the hook-laden primary single ‘Dizzy Boy’, and arrangements employing a minimal-as-maximal approach, leaving a lot of space to dance to. More remarkable is the way the band adds that Pinoy rock flavor as evidenced by the nifty guitar lines and lyrical hooks.

History

This another project band of Marasigan already released two album entitled “Tugish Takish:” and “Shinji Ilabas Mo Na Ang Helicopter” under MCA Music. They call their music “dunk music”.

Around August 2004, Raimund Marasigan formed another project, a band he called Pedicab. They did their first gig on September that year. On 2005, the band released their debut album entitled Tugish Takish under Vicor Music. The name was taken from the onomatopoeia of the drum’s banging sound.

Containing 12 interesting tracks, the album’s singles include Dizy Boy, Dito Tayo Sa Dilim, Konti Na Lang, Bleached Streaks etc. Its video was directed by its own member RA Rivera. Prior to that, they have released a two-track sampler dubbed as “For Hire” with tracks Bago Pa Mag Pasko and Pa-Experience.
Pa-Experience was included in the compilation of Rock Against The Round: Musicians Against The WTO on 2005. Songs Isasayaw Ko and Awitin Mo were included in Hopia Mani Popcorn 2: The Best Of Manila Sound on 2007 under Viva Records.

After three years of the groundbreaking debut album, the album signed a recording deal with MCA Records Philippines. Pedicab is back and now brought with them is their long-awaited sophomore album. Entitled Shinji Ilabas Mo Na Ang Helicopter, the album was released on April 2008 under MCA Music. The release contained carrier single Ang Pusa Mo. Its video, directed by RA Rivera, featured the band members being abused physically by 8 lovely ladies. Other tracks incorporated are fan favourites like FX, Follow Through, Breaking Away and the remake of Pa-Experience which they retitled into Pa-Taste.

Ako  bahala sayo ,
Wala ka nang gagastusin
Hindi ang pera mo,
at buhay mo na rin

Ako ang kaligtasan,
ako ang kayamanan
Ako ang kasaysayan,
ako inaasam

Ako  bahala sayo ,
Wala ka nang gagastusin
Hindi ang pera mo,
at buhay mo na rin

Ako ang special,
ako  ang pandesal
Ako ang mantikilya,
ako ang almusal

Put The Pieces Together

I.
Feel it in your pelvis
Feel it like Elvis
Stop grinding
What are you finding?
Loosen up (Put the pieces together)
Follow up
I like it, but it’s got to stop
Act your emotions
Shut the distortion
Just do it (Put the pieces together)

Refrain:
Put the pieces together
Put the pieces together
Put the pieces together
Put the pieces together

II.
On a roll
Call the shots
Start from the crust
Kick it if you must bust
Use it (Put the pieces together)
Get on your feet
Hit the corners, hit the beats
Electricity, when our eyes
Caught each other in the city
Loosen up (Put the pieces together)

[Repeat Refrain 2x]

Chorus:
Walk the walk, talk the talk
Walk the walk, talk the talk
Walk the walk, talk the talk
Walk the walk, talk the talk
Prove it (Put the pieces together)

[Repeat Chorus]

[Instrumental]

[Repeat Refrain]

[Repeat Chorus 2x]

Deep Eyes

I.
The stars are fallin’
On your hair
Under the porcelain moonlight
Lying down on the sand
Just you and me, and the band
Playin’ on our stereo
Can’t think of any better place to go, oh

Refrain:
The clouds are forming our names
Fireworks shooting to the sea
‘Cause you believe in me
And I believe in you, that…

Chorus:
We can make our dreams come true
Together through the rough and smooth
Oh God, I don’t mind livin’ this day,
Through and through

II.
The cool wind is blowing
On our skin
Under the commanding sun
Something has just begun
Your deep eyes
The orange skies
This indeed is one of those
Good, good, good, good times

[Repeat Refrain]

[Repeat Chorus 2x]

Deafening Silence

I.
When I met you the first time
It was electric
When I saw the sign
I felt your static

Refrain I:
Then everything slowed down
Someone mute the sound

Chorus:
Deafening silence
Deafening silence

II.
You caught me looking at you
Or was it me who caught you looking at me?
Or was it Richard?

Refrain II:
At the moment I knew (at the moment I knew)
I swear I knew (I swear I know)
I swear I knew (I swear I know)
You wanted me too

[Repeat Chorus]

[Instrumental]

[Repeat Refrain II]

[Repeat Chorus 2x]
