Bright Lights

The good LORD has giveth and taketh away today
But life still goes on Many people in many ways
Take for granted this precious gift
We got to live for today
Cuz tomorrow is a long time away
And tonight might be the last night you see the moon
And you won’t see the flowers bloom
When the morning comes

Bright lights shinin’ on
You get the call and now you’re gone
So were they right or were they wrong
Now that you see the dawn
Good girl gone to soon
While bad girls are on their honeymoons
So where do we belong
Bright lights shine on

So give it up and just give in
Cuz the only way out is in
So step into the light they promise it will be alright
Everybody needs somebody to love and nobody loves you more than GOD above
Somehow live for now
If you wait it’s gonna be much too late

So why do the good die young and the bad guys get away
The ones with so much to live for are the ones taken away
so check the hourglass, see how long forever lasts
Cuz the only chance we get is one, and in a blink we’re done

Temptation will drive you crazy until you give in
Salvation is what you’re after but you just can’t win
When you’re young, you seek the truth
When you’re old you seek your youth
Who will cry when you die
There are no shades to wrong or right
And we’re never really satisfied
Until we step into the light
